Mesmerizing Nacpan Beach !!

Nacpan Beach is said to be the most beautiful beach around El Nido town. Along with Calitang Beach, they are known as El Nido’s Twin Beaches. You can discover Nacpan Beach via El Nido Tour E or by renting a motorbike or hiring a tricycle. It will take you from 45 minutes to 1 hour to get there from El nido downtown . You can also organise and book a round trip from El Nido to Nacpan Beach thanks to the Nacpan Beach Shuttle Service.

How To Get To Nacpan Beach?

  • With the Nacpan Beach Shuttle Service: For only 600 PHP per person, you can now organise your round trip to Nacpan Beach with a aircon van and a free pick up and drop off to your hotel in El Nido or Corong-Corong. This is by far the most convenient way to organise a trip to Nacpan Beach.
  • With a tricycle: The price for 2 persons is around 1000PHP. The trip will take you around 1 hour. Know that it will not be a comfortable one since half stretch of the road is in a very bad state. It can even get really muddy if it has rained the earlier days.
  • With a motorbike: You can rent a motorbike and go to Nacpan Beach by yourself. Most people find it more convenient than hiring a tricycle. It’s also cheaper since you can rent a motorbike for only 600PHP/day.
  • With the Beaches and Waterfalls Tour ( El Nido Tour E): The last option is to visit Nacpan Beach while doing Tour E. You will then have motorbikes and a tour guide with you. Nacpan Beach will be one of the stops during your day.

In any case, the trip to Nacpan Beach is not the easiest one due to the condition of the road. The easiest way to go would be by renting a 4×4 but this is something difficult to find in El Nido!

What Can You Do In Nacpan Beach?

If you are on a day trip ,as the road is a bit long, the first thing you’ll probably want to do is just to chill out and relax on this 4 kilometers-long beach! The water is prestine with some pretty big waves . That being said, it’s not advised to venture to deep into the water as there can be some strong currents. You can also walk a bit and go see Calitang Beach – which form the Twin Beaches with Nacpan Beach

You can also stay at Nacpan !

After considering quite a lot of recommendations we opted to stay at Nacpan beach for 3 nights and trust me this was the best decision we ever made! Since 6pm is the last shuttle to downtown from Nacpan , majority of the day trippers returned to their destined places leaving this marvelous piece of earth to the very few people staying on the beach ! Sunset at Nacpan beach is considered to be among the worlds most beautiful sunsets and we made sure that we didn’t miss it a single day !

Where to stay ?

The number of hotels is very limited here & that is the whole charm of this place . Since its less commercialized you cannot expect luxurious properties to stay here . We chose to stay at Seaside Hue Resort ! This property had a Beautiful garden , a seafront restaurant , reading desks with lots of interesting books and a bunch of table top games. Our Seafront room was equipped with a TV, air conditioner (very less likely found in El Nido ), and also included a patio with large sitting area!! The staff here was friendly !

Just besides this you can find Nacpan beach Glamping , a property which will provide you a free WiFi and trust me this can be counted when comparison arises !

Mobile Connectivity

Since its a secluded place Mobile network connectivity is too difficult to receive. Being addicted to mobile phones the initial hours were really difficult for us but as the time passed we got much closer to serenity ! But still if you wish to cheat the serenity part then you can choose GLOBE sim card which has better connectivity throughout Philippines than SMART sim card which we had . Also nearby there are a couple of eateries run by locals which will provide you WiFi if you buy food costing more than 200-250 phps !

If WiFi is really not your concern then just switch off your phone , lose your mind and find your Soul !!

Eating Places

The long journey from Manila airport to Puerto Princessa to El Nido to Nacpan drained us, so we decided to catch a quick nap after watching the sunset . Unfortunately the nap wasn’t so quick. We stepped out of our cottage at 9pm and literally everything was shut! Pitch dark outside with thudding sounds of waves and we realized it was a no moon night ! We doubted the if the sky could hold any more glimmering stars !! We decided to walk . Some lights from the nearby restaurants were enough to guide us . Just a few meters from our stay we came across the beautiful SunMai Bar but they couldn’t help our hunger pangs since they accept their last order at 9pm. So we went further ahead in search and came across many places but everyone was winding up their stores. After about 200 mtrs of walking we heard some partying noise and came across Mad Monkey Hostel ! As the name suggests this place literally was filled with mad monkeys . Youth from different countries were found having an awesome time of their lives cherishing some amazing cocktails ! Scrumptious Hawaiian pizza is something that you must taste here! We came across different people.. became friends.. laughed together.. danced together!! Partying in this wooden hut felt thousand times more wowsumm than in any of those fancier high end pubs !

On the other hand Sunmai Bar felt a little sophisticated yet had warmth in a similar manner ! This is the same bar which provides the shuttle service to downtown ElNido. The food here is drool worthy but the best part of this place is its ambiance! The overall feel of this place cant be expressed in words ! If you ever plan to visit Nacpan you must visit this bar .. and if you book their shuttle service you will get to have welcome drink for FREE !

Though staying at Nacpan was one amazing decision, travelling to and fro El Nido downtown is time consuming . Since shuttle services have their scheduled departure time , we opted to book a private taxi ( provided by our hotel ) every time . . be it to – fro El Nido terminal to go to Puerto Princessa or to El Nido downtown for island hopping tour . Private Taxi is definitely a more expensive option than the others.

I hope this guide helps you to plan you trip well ! Happy Travelling !!

BON Voyage !
